Konstruktion

‘Riant-Château’ is an exclusive apartment building constructed in 1912-1913 by the famous architects Polak and Piollenc. For many years, the complex attracted big names in the world of cinema. The building originally included a centre for avant-garde cinema, as well as several large apartments for wealthy families, together with a steward’s office.

Full renovation was completed in 1999-2000. This forced the architect to think in the language of another era in order to combine historic prestige with modern conveniences.

The building’s interior reflects the extravagant luxury of the BelleÉpoque period, with its lofty ceilings, mouldings, stained-glass windows, oak doors and other details.

The underground car park has been built under the magnificent ‘Parc aux Roses’ gardens stretching from ‘Riant-Château’ as far as the Anglican church.

The gardens were a favourite of Empress Sissi of Austria and a statue has been erected there in her honour.
